Help! I was a teaching assistant and a learning mentor before I was a teacher and paid into a pension but not a teaching pension. Does anybody know what happens to that money or how it works? Or where I would find out about it! X x

Contact your payroll dept. They will be able to tell you which scheme your contributions were paid into and then contract them.

You most likely in the Local Government Pension Scheme. If you are working for the same LA they may be able to sort it out.. If you were in UNISON they should be able to help you.
