My pension contribution has leapt up to over £60 extra this month even though nothing else has changed....other teachers in my school say the same....wasn't this all still under 'negotiation'? Is this right does anyone know?

    mine has risen by £100

  4. No it wasn't up for negotiation, hence the industrial action.

Neither was the switch from RPI to CPI.

Furthermore, the more you earn the higher the contribution you will be made to pay.

The government was not inclined to negotiate on the increased contributions. Teachers over the age of 50 get their retirement age unchanged. This was the only negotiation they did.
