Hi, I teach sixth grade at a bilingual school in Alcala de Henares (Cervantes' Birthplace and UNESCO Heritage site). in Spain. Last year my students exchanged letters with a class in N. Carolina (both groups wrote in English). It was awesome for my kids to get a real letter from an American kid that had a real drawing and had crossed the ocean to get to our school. It really made their day whenever they received the package will all the letters. We're searching for a US school to repeat the experience, but with a twist: My kids will write in English and the US kids in Spanish, they will be partnered up to correct and help their pen pals. If anyone is interested, please let me know!!
