Hi I will leave one local authority officially on 31st Dec and join another one on 1st January. I usually get paid on the 20th of the month. Will I get paid for a full month in December or not?
    Thanks

Usually, you are paid for the entire calendar month on whichever date you are paid, so when you started the post you were probably paid for the whole of September on 20th September, and when you leave you'll be paid for the whole of December on 20th December.

    .

Your resignation date is 31 December, even though you won't be in school after the end of term.

And your new job begins on 1st January, even though you won't be expected in school on that Day! I hope :)

Well done on getting that new job, @littlemissl

    Best wishes

When you write your resignation letter - make sure you write your leaving date as December 31st
