Pay Scale

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by mikeliddle, May 16, 2011.

  1. Hi (all)
My first time post here, so I am unsure whether I would be answered...
I am a qualified overseas teacher (24 Years) and have been teaching unqualified in the UK for 2 years. I am presently completing my QTS. I am on M3 on the payscale at the moment.
Could anyone inform me what pay I would 'qualify' for after completion of my QTS (end of July 2011)?
    Thank you

At present you should be getting paid on the unqualified scale. Once you had gained QTS you would start on the MPS qualified scale. It seems your school have chosen to pay you on the qualified scale from the start of your employment, so once you have acquired your QTS you will continue to move annually up that.
