Party games for KS2 please

Discussion in 'Primary' started by rubber, Dec 15, 2008.

  1. I have party games to organise tomorrow in the hall with 90 KS2 children. I have thought of the usuals: musical statues (bumbs, benches); corners; best dancer; relays.

Can anyone suggest any others that are easy to organise.

    Fish racing
    Kids into two teams
cut two large paper fish from newspaper

give each team a fish and a newspaper
lay fish on floor and move it by wafting with newspaper - no touching!
Gets kids cheering and laughing for ages

  3. Thanks giraffe that sounds like a good one.
  4. One of the TAs at my school organised a party for her son in Yr6. She sat the chn in a circle, gave them all a straw & a polo sweet to pass round on the straws. It was hilarious, she said. It was all v innocent & no one referred to the other forms of the polo-passing game!

What's 'corners'? Is it like North, South, East & West?
  5. Corners are named eg snowman, santas (used this at Xmas!) etc and in your hand are matching cards. Chn choose a corner and stand in it. Teacher chooses a card and all those standing in that corner are out. Last one in wins. Useful for teaching probability too! Great fun and 8 pieces of card with pics are all you need.
