Parental Contact by Teaching Staff- how much do you do?

  1. If you have a problem in your lesson then you should contact the parents with support if needed from your dept. That is a fundamental part of being a teacher.
    Im a year head and I wont do calls to parents regarding issues in depts. Its up to subjects/ depts to do that.

     
  2. Has your school signed up to keepkidssafe? We can easily drop an e-mail (free) or text (not free) to individual parents or whole classes parents..... It's really handy now the year 11 revision season has started... and dead quick if you want to contact several parents about missed deadlines etc.

    I phone home if homework isn't handed in twice in row...... Parents are usually pretty pleased to kept informed, although there are some pupils for whom I know there will be no support at home so I don't bother.
