  1. Also, if the parent might have to spend time alone with any child then they should be CRBchecked. Plus would agree with coolgiraffe - many years ago as a student I wasn't allowed to take p.e. as I wasn't insured against accidents.

I have volunteered in schools in the past and part of the procedure was signing a 'contract' relating to volunteer policy that covered things such as reporting stuff to the class teacher and passing accidents over. Is there a similar procedure at your school? Is there a volunteer policy which would give guidance on the issues that worry you? If not, it would be best to just mention it to your HT and let her make the decisions .... and take the responsibility [​IMG]
