P.E ITT Places 2011/2012

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by Ktsum, Feb 3, 2011.

  1. Hi does anyone know if the Allocation of PE ITT places have been reduced this year?

I am awaiting confirmation of my PE PGCE offer!
  2. 890 places overall, that's nearly double what RE got. Which, no offence, i find disgusting.
  3. Oh no, but i guess RE isnt compulsary in every school. But yes, that is very few. Is that what your doing?
Do you know how much the Secondary places have been reduced by?
  4. My mistake, it is compulsary but not in at GCSE Level? Am i right?

I thought thast schools had to teach it but they can make it part of their pshe/citizenship lessons so its not always a seperate subject
  6. Im not sure.

I went to a Catholic school so had to attend individual lessons, and GCSES.
