I am a GTP who keeps hitting a brick wall in regards to my lesson observations, I have progressed from satisfactory to satisfactory with many good elements (I have had one 'good'), but obviously I want to do better. I have taken on board advice from all of my mentors and I'm still not getting anywhere - I am being pro-active and acting on their advice - but still it never seems to be enough. I even planned a lesson with my senior mentor the other day where we re-worked a lesson that she observed me teach in order to make it 'outstanding' so I went and taught the lesson to another group and although there were some behavioural issues, it was exactly as she'd planned it, but my subject mentor tore it to pieces saying that there was no linguistic progression and that it was too ambitious for one lesson. The one target it did meet was to show group work - she graded it unsatisfactory - so I feel like I'm going backwards. Can someone please give me an example of an outstanding lesson plan, so that I can see the elements involved and can use it as a model to help me?
