Outspoken Student teacher

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by GreyFalcon, Jan 29, 2011.

  1. Hi we have a PGCE student who is very outspoken literally, quite loud and practically discusses everything openly. Only issue is i am being drawn into these conversations and for some who is quiet away from the classroom environment i am having to keep on my guard so not too look unprofessional (which at the minute is an issue)
Hes been a good associate but i believe being a professional is also essential.
  2. Have a quiet word. Remind him of the need to be appropriate and professional. Remind him that he's a visitor and a guest in your school. If you do it carefully and sensitively so he doesn't lose face he'll get the message and won't feel too much like an idiot.
