    Can anyone tell me why my emails are going straight to outbox and not being sent? How do I retrieve them?

    What system are you using?

    We've been having issues with email at work too...

    Outbox is the holding area for outgoing mails waiting for an open connection to wherever they're going.

    The issue could be with your service provider's mail server.

    There's also been problems with some TalkTalk email services since the hack.

    Their website will have a service status page - might be worth looking there before hanging on the telephone.

    If you are using Outlook, it may be worth clicking on the Send/Receive button which actively sends them off.
