Organising Ofsted Evidence into Files

Discussion in 'Headteachers' started by opeus, Feb 2, 2012.

  1. It's a common issue in schools.

Once piece of evidence - covering a range of criteria.

Have you considered using a simple Grid to map the evidence?

I created "GridMaker" specifically to help teachers and senior leaders do this.

We've seen a massive increase in the number of schools wanting to map evidence against smsc (see http://smsc.opeus.org)

If you drop me a line - or give me call, I'll setup a bespoke Grid for you.

  2. Under this framework there's actually very little documentation that is needed other than things you use on a day to day basis. 'Conducting school inspections' lists half a dozen documents that inspectors can ask for. Here's a list that a LI asked for from a school inspected recently :
Summary of self evaluation (send by email)
Timetables for the 2 days the inspection is on (by email)
    The single central record
Documents relating to attendance of different groups
Documents relating to behaviour logs, bullying
Tracking of pupils currently in the school
    Departmental self evaluations
School improvement plan and RAP (by email)
Governor minutes and the HTs report to the GB
Records relating to the monitoring of teaching
Any external monitoring from the LA etc.
