If anyone is in the West Yorkshire area on the 14th January
2012, or would like to travel to Huddersfield, there will be an orchestra
concert with music of a fairy tale nature, performed by the New Northern
Philharmonic Orchestra. This will include music from Swan Lake, Hansel and
Gretel Overture and Peter and the Wolf.
If anyone teaches in the West Yorkshire area,
why not extend the offer to KS3, GCSE, BTEC or A level students? It will be a great
experience for the pupils to watch live music making, while getting a first
hand view of the instruments of the orchestra, music genre and much more.
It will be a very enjoyable evening of music making and listening, and I am sure younger audience members will find it particularly enjoyable and informative towards their GCSE or A level examination.
Complimentary tickets are available for pupils, students and teachers. Just let me know how many you will need by emailing me on james.n.lyon@gmail.com
Hope to see as many of you there,
    James
