    Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone had links to or was able to point me in the direction of optional SATS papers for maths years 2-5. I need two different years that AREN'T 2003!
We use 2003 to assess in the autumn term and then a RUBBISH test in the spring and summer which is misleading, massively over inflates results and just plain wrong in some instances. I want to use optionals all year but can't find anything at all in school and whilst boss is behind me changing things - i'm at a loss to get the resources themselves.
    So - any bright ideas?
  2. Do you have the 2005 ones? I found them here:
I don't think QCA produce optionals for every year though.

There are only two sets of optional papers - 2003 and 2006. The papers on the Dudley site are the 2003 ones despite what it says. I use 2006 maths papers near end of autumn term, 2003 in spring term and 2006 again in summer term. I don't go through the papers with the children after the autumn assessment and it's interesting to see which questions they got wrong in autumn term and right in the summer term. (Obviously this doesn't work for the English papers)
You won't find the 2006 ones on the internet - you have to buy them from QCDA - are you sure you haven't got any at the back of a cupboard somewhere? http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/teachingandlearning/assessment/a00198133/test-orders
You need to get your order in by 30 November to have them delivered by Match 2012 - no idea why it takes them that long.
  4. We use Testbase - http://www.testbase.co.uk/sec/index.asp

    It's very useful

hpblossom thak you so much! Incredibly helpful. I've been assured we don't have the 2006 ones and our resource cupboard would take a year to get through so I'll order them now and save myself the job!
    Cheers again.
  6. Just be aware that they cost a FORTUNE (depending on the size of your school)! It might be worth asking a school in your family for a copy??
