Online Teaching a myth?

Discussion in 'Mathematics' started by esachdeva1982, Aug 17, 2012.

  1. Hi
I am pretty new to online teaching just wanted to know has any one made acrrier out of online teaching ?
Is it really worth giving an effort in?
If yes ...can anyone help me like how to go about it ?

    Thanks

  2. Shouldn't the question be the other way round?
"I have an idea on how to make a career online by doing x,y or z. Does anyone have any feedback on the potential success of this rplan?"
Are you talking about Skype/conference tutoring that is paid for? Would you be running it? Would it be through a company?
Are you talking about video tutorials?
IME most of the people who are making money were those with a plan (which was often pitched in a niche market) rather than those looking to stumble on success.
You may also want to define 'career' (which is what I assume you have written?)
    p.s
Leaving your email on a message board with such requests may lead to unwanted interaction.
