I'm thinking of introducing a modern interpretation of Oliver Twist to help prep students for GCSE English, or as an introduction to nineteenth century texts. The idea is to:
    • Look at themes that remain true to the original work and present them in a contemporary setting.
    • Give a unique twist to relevant themes that students can identify and engage with.
    • Offer classic literature by stealth to encourage a point of class discussion.
I have some exciting ideas planned and am interested to hear what you would find useful in such a text.
    Thank you!

For GCSE they should be able to read the original Oliver Twist and not need a modern interpretation.
