    Was it Arknet? Arpnet? Arpanet?

Yes, it's a map of the first ever inter web message sent, from UCLA to Stanford-it was just two letters, and then they were further relayed as per the map.
    Miss those days. Sniff.
    (It was Arpanet.)

Far too smart people, will have to find a harder one in time for the Christmas quizzes.

It was from one walk in computer to another.
I remember the first computer room I saw at a place I worked. Massive computer in an air conditioned room before air conditioning was heard of in England.
It usually had a load of drunks that had come back from the pub lunchtime who were cooling down.
Ahh gone are the days when you went to the pub lunchtime and came back to work mid afternoon.
I’m not talking teaching here although we did use to go regularly on a Friday at one school I taught in until the Head shortened the lunchtime.

I remember writing programs and saving them to tape cassettes. Only one up from cards!
