Pasties, grate the carrot for a salad to go with them.

Seriously though braised beef is not a bad idea.
Beef stew and dumplings?
Just realised that song should be 'boiled beef' ,but who boils beef these days?
Curry beef rendang perhaps. Or this simple stew

Ooh glad I'm not alone, especially as it got chilly and very very wet out, so something warming and comforting wouldn't go amiss, sadly I didn't have the time for it.
Maybe not boiled but I have done a beef and onion pot roast type thing (can't remember if that's the name for a beef joint in with stock, carrots and the lid on in the oven slowly), it's so very moist but must be lean so as not to give us a real heart attack... Oh no wait that's carraway seeds in abundance
It was superb!
A real winner then, that's great!
