Discussion in 'Ofsted inspections' started by Waterfin, Apr 16, 2011.
You can request the written feedback from your observations, but there is an admin fee for each one.
Written feedback to individual teachers is never given. The evidence form the inspector completes during the observation is not available to the observed teacher under the freedom of information act because it forms inspection evidence. As such is is exempt from the FoI act.
Inspections done by Ofsted are not meant to be personal affirmations of teaching quality, but take an overview of the quality of teaching across the school to confirm the school's self evaluation.
