Can Ofsted just turn up at your school without warning? I'm feeling really nervous about this

Yes but as of when this year or next?
september. they're using the new inspection framework now.
We had a no notice as part of the pilot (the last government suggested this in 2009) the inspector didn't phone. He walked through the door at 8.30 and said "I'm here to inspect your school" they still expected to see and do all the usual things. After the first day they gave us a list of things they needed more evidence on. We (slt) left school at 11pm that night after getting a the evidence they wanted. It was very tough.
