How do you analyse the achievement and progress of pupils? What have you done as a result of what you have found? How good is the teaching across the department? How do you know? How are teachers observed? How is the Ofsted criteria applied to lesson observation? What weaknesses have you found and what have you done about it? How are you using your CPD budget to improve achievement across your subject? What is the impact of your CPD investments? What do you do to ensure that all pupils behave properly and apply themselves to their learning in your subject? What support do you provide to improve learning in your subject? Your answers to these questions will help the inspector to make a judgement about the quality of your leadership, as well as teaching, achievement and behaviour in your subject.
