Ofqual is running another consultation on non-examination assessment (coursework) in A Level, AS Level and GCSE Media Studies and Film Studies.

    Proposals include:
    • Production work to be worth 20% in Film Studies at all levels (the remaining 10% will be an evaluation)
    • Production work to be worth 30% in Media Studies at all levels
    • Tasks to be released the summer before they are due in (therefore, half way through the A Level and GCSE courses)
    • Tasks to be changed annually
The consultation is at https://www.gov.uk/government/consu...egulations-for-film-studies-and-media-studies (it runs until 24th March).

The MEA has a news article about the consultation at http://www.themea.org.uk/2016/03/ofqual-coursework-consultation-urgent/ – needless to say, they're very worried.
