OCR GCSE Religious Studies B

Discussion in 'Religious Education' started by Buxton72, Aug 26, 2012.

  1. My son did paper J121 in Summer 2111 and was awarded an A* with 29 points. Then in June 2012 he sat J621 and was awarded another A* and 58 points. Does that mean he has 2 GCSEs in Religious Studies?

J121 is a Short Course qualification and J621 is full GCSE qualification. Therefore he has 1.5 GCSE's in RS. However, the full course trumps the short course, and so colleges are likely to view it as a full GCSE qualification at grade A*. Hope this helps.
