    Dear all,

I have an observation and an interview for a EYFS post.
I do not know what to prepare for the observation as I have not been given any further information.

Would you prepare a carpet session, a story or anything for the observation, just in case?

    Any advice will be welcomed!

    Hi there.
Could you call the school or setting and ask for clarification. It mat be that they just want to observe you interacting and playing with the children. I've done this many times when I have interviewed for posts as I feel it gives me a much better picture than when candidates have prepared something.
If they want you to teach a group or do a class activity really they should tell you this. But it wouldn't harm to have something up your sleeve to cover all the bases if a phone call doesn't give you further info.
    Good luck.
