Oatcakes

Discussion in 'Personal' started by huevosrancheros, Dec 13, 2011.

  1. Just wanted to say bye bye to youse all.
Have enjoyed my ruminations on TES and has probably been good for my mental health.
However, I have never been able to really believe in the profession. Sorry.
The blanket has lifted, and freedom beckons, just as my kids have survived you and your so called education system.
I sleep well now in the knowledge they will never be harmed again.

  3. Crikey - is this a flounce?
Why don't you just do like what I do and disappear every now and then, then come back again for a peek once in a while?

So why was the thread called Oatcakes? Are you moving to Stoke-on-Trent? Or Scotland?

I got really excited at the prospect of an oatcake recipe! While we're here, does anyone actually have a recipe for Staffordshire oatcakes? I can't get hold of them for love nor money darn sarf

Thanks for this, lapinrose - you can pay to replace my keyboard & monitor after I spluttered tea over it laughing. ;) :D

My mum has a dynamite recipe for bannocks which are fresh Scottish oatcakes, cheap to make & utterly delicious spread thick with butter. I'll ferret it out if you really are looking for oatcakey goodness... [IMG]
