NVQ French

Discussion in 'Modern foreign languages' started by urawa2000, Jul 18, 2011.

  1. Hi,
We are looking into offering NVQ languages in our specialist college (up to now we have used the CBLC via OCR). We offer other NVQs via Edexcel, but have so far not been able to find many materials to support their language qualification. I have found resources for OCRs language NVQ. What exam board are other teachers using for this, is there a text book or website you would recommend? Any other comments about NVQ languages??
    Thanks for your help!!

  2. Try ilanguages. They have a course you can buy. We don't use it but have heard colleagues in other schools say it is good as there lessons prepared and resources

  3. We use the ilanguages NVQ and I think it's great.the powerpoints, games and video clips are brill and it's marvellous using a ready made package , although I do need to supplement it ocasionally.

  4. Thanks for the replies so far - I am looking into ilanguages. Is anyone using edexcel? What are your experiences? Are there any other text books / materials which can be used? My learners are blind / visually impaired and in the past have prefered to take the speaking / listening elements of assessments rather than the whole thing (a strength of the NVQ I feel). I have found lots of useful info on the CiLT website too.

  5. Did you get through to ilanguages? If you need any help on our NVQ scheme, please contact me at: juliet.park@ntlworld.com
