Nursery Hours

    unfortunately have to just get on with it!!! if you complain about it you usually get told that 'yes but other teachers do x, y and z and we all do stuff that's extra,' blah blah blah!
    Sometimes you can use it as leverage against extra ppa though.
    Also you can sometimes negotiate an extra breaktime or two because you usually don't get to leave nursery whilst children are on 'playtime' like other year groups do. It's a bit like being on duty every day.
    You have to be able to go three hours in a row without a hot drink or rest, although you can usually eat your own fruit, have a water when the children have snack time.

    It might be worth asking at the interview? I work in the Nursery in my primary school and I get my extra hours paid back to me by having a morning off on alternate weeks to my PPA week.
