Numbers on job applications?

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by User2525, Feb 12, 2011.

  1. The TRN, DCSF, and GTC are all different labels for the same number. The TRN is the most recent label.

  2. Thank you!

So do I just put the same number down for both the DCSF and GTC number on the same application form?!

TRN number is DCSF number, it appears to come under lots of names.
I *think* you don't get a GTC number until you qualify because you can't be fully registered with the GTC before then.

  4. All trainees are registered with the GTC and you get a registration number - as stated above that is otherwise referred to as a TRN, DfE, DCSF, DES number - in exxence they are all the same. It is the number that identifies you as a teacher and bvegins with the year in which you trained.
Registration with the GTC is not the same as being on the list as those with QTS. During training you are bound by the GTC code of conduct regardless if you have QTS or not - it is a professional registration with the professions regulatpry body. This will change of course when the GTC goes.
