NQT timetable

    Just a quick question...
    in a 30 period week how many NCT periods should an NQT have?

    It's not as straightforward as that. It's 10% more NCT than a regular teacher at the school. So if a regular teacher teaches 27 lessons a week out of 30 on the timetable, the NQT should receive an extra 2.7 lessons of NQT time. In school's I've worked in before they would have given the NQT an extra 2 lessons off timetable for NQT time and used the .7 over the course of the term for courses/visiting other teachers etc...
