I need help with behaviour management.
I have classes in which I am struggling with their behaviour. I am using the school policy, but I need to be better with it.

I have got this far I to the year and I am still struggling, can anybody offer some advice?

    Thank you

Have you talked to your NQT Mentor?

To add to this excellent advice - ask your mentor to arrange for you to observe these classes with other teachers (with luck, other teachers who have managed them reasonably well).

Don't panic... we have all been there! What behaviours are you seeing?

A lot of teachers who I support feel confident in dealing with high profile behaviours (fighting, throwing and such) but struggle with low level consistent disruption. What background research/tactics have you implemented consistently already?

Hi! I'm a PGCE student, but I've been commended on my behaviour management techniques. What have you implemented already? One size definitely does /not/ fit all, so there's a lot of trial and error.
