NQT mentoring time

Discussion in 'Primary' started by clatkiu1, Jan 11, 2011.

  1. I am mentoring an NQT this year and meet with her every week-after school. I was just wondering what the situation was in other schools. Are you supposed to meet in lunchtimes/after school or should you be given non contact time to do it?

  3. I think it is common practice to meet after school or during lunchtimes. Even though NQTs get extra non-contact time (10%), I have not heard of any mentors being given non contact time for mentoring.
