Nqt completion certificate

  1. Hello I have just completed my NQT year just before Easter and have been told I have passed. I was just wondering if ou get a certificate to prove it?

    The certificate used to be sent by the GTCE but I doubt the DfE who have taken over the function will be sending anything out. Your name should appear on the list of qualified teachers on the DfE website, your school can check for you, Your final assessment report would also be proof of the recommendation to pass induction.
  3. It depends on when you completed I think. I've finished my PGCE about 10 days before THE GTC ceased to exist. I received a letter from the Teaching Agency which confirmed I had been awarded QTS (sounds a bit like your letter) I then emailed the Teaching Agency who stated that the GTC had been responsible for issuing my certificate and therefore if I hadn't received one I wouldn't. However, I think the Teaching Agency will issue certificates to anyone who qualified after 1st April. I guess it'll be fairly similar for award of QTS and completion of the NQT year.
