NQT 1 term completed

Discussion in 'New teachers' started by suzyontour, Apr 12, 2011.

  1. I have completed 1 full term of my NQT. How long do i have to complete the other two terms? Is it best not to do any supply work in the meantime as i believe this puts me on a 16 month window, is that correct?

  2. Hi
There is no time limit for completing the other two terms. Yes, if you do any daily supply (even one day) it will start the sixteen month clock ticking. It is down to you if you wish to register and do supply work - registering with an agency does not start the clock and you could ask only to be considered for long term (one month minimum) supply.
