Nottingham e-Learning Centre has 8 free in-depth KS2 - 4 projects

Discussion in 'Design and technology' started by bombikea, Dec 12, 2011.

  1. It is at www.notadesktidy.org (Make sure you put in the www or it won't work)

These are utterly free, no restrictions, no registration.
They were written by me, AJ Booker, at their request to encourage teachers to try something different to the card desk tidy that is a little long in the tooth now!

They all include teachers notes, presentations, worksheets and often e-Learning filmsand specialist files

    They are:
Wobbler - Super simple low cost balance project
PadHopper - Graded set of structures activities
Dangler - A new 555 Electronics project with full Circuit Wizard files
PigBang - Vacuum Cleaner Powered Bazookas
BoxNet - Introduction to simple CadCam using Techsoft 2D Designer
CataPullet - A chicken shaped catapult for more advanced CAD work at KS4
LightBand - A super simple bracelet torch which can also use QTC if required
ChocBox - In depth project using Sketchup and common graphics programs to package items

Please tell everyone... Think about embedding these into your schemes of work
They don't need any proprietary bits and they are NOT to promote any software or resource companies..

    Thank you
    AJ Booker - Freelance Educational Consultant - www.ajbooker.co.uk & www.stemday.co.uk
    working on behalf of www.nelc.net
