Notice Period for a T.A.?

    A teaching assistant friend of mine is required to give one month's notice when handing in a letter of resignation.

    The question is, if they hand their notice now, does the one month start straight away so he could leave on the 12th April, or is it one month of work, therefore the Easter break will extend the notice period to the end of April?

    Does it say one month, or one calendar month.

    And sometimes it has to end on the last day of the month.

    So get him to look carefully at his contract.

    That would be my interpretation, as it doesn't say, for example, 20 working days - which would be a month of work.

    Thank you - I would imagine one calendar month, but I shall have a look at his contract with him.
