  1. How long do you have to work for a school/ local authority before you get full maternity benefits? Been teaching for a good few years now but different LA and an academy. Moved schools and not planning on it just yet but just curious as we are thinking about it.

    I don't know about acdemies but I think LA to LA counts as continuous service. You have to have worked for at least a week before falling pregnant to get statutory. I can't post a link but if you google nasuwt maternity it has a document telling you. You have to have a years service in any LA to get the 12 weeks half pay bit. It says academies can be different. Perhaps contact hr.
