    Dear all

I wonder if people would be willing to post the approximate NoR of their school, together with the size of their ICT (FTE).
I am trying to build a case that we are understaffed quite significantly, but need the "others schools our size have xx staff in the ICT department" argument!
    Thanks.

  3. Isn't this a simple demand/supply calcluation for your department?

    Number of KS3 Lessons Per Fortnight (6 groups @ 2 lessons x 3 Year groups) =36
    Number of Core KS4 Lessons ( 12 groups @ 2 lessons ) =24
    Number of Option Group KS4 ( 1 group @ 5 lessons) = 5
    Number of Option KS5 ( 2 groups @ 8 lessons) = 16
So you need 81 periods covered in this scenario - 2 teachers.
    All good?

  4. All figures per fortnight.

    PoR: 1450

    FTE: 4x ICT specialists [~40hrs each] = 160

    Y7 - 12x2hrs = 24

    Y8 - 12x2hrs = 24

    Y9 - 12x2hrs = 24

    Y10 - 4x5hrs + 2x6hrs = 32

    Y11 - 5x5hrs + 2x6hrs = 37

    VI form - 2x10hrs = 20

    Total: 161

We lose a few hours with a specialist off to BS and we pick up a few hours from HE and a DHT to balance it out.
