Non Specialist Dance Training Program - Key Stage 3 & 4

Discussion in 'Physical education' started by roz30uk, Nov 25, 2010.

  1. Raising standards of teaching and learning in dance

    Walthamstow Academy
    I am working with Youth
Dance England to help raise the quality, delivery and participation both
    within and beyond the curriculum.

    The School Dance Coordinator
initiative is central to raising standards in teaching and learning in
dance within schools. This is a National scheme funded by the government
following the publication of The Tony Hall Review.

There are three modules that have been created for the Non Specialist Training Program these are:

    Module 1 - What is Dance? (January 8th & 9th) TBC

    Module 2 - Teaching & Learning (February 5th 7 6th)

    Module 3 - Planning in Dance (March 5th & 6th)

    All modules are practically based.

I am looking to work with QTS, PGCE, GTP and teachers currently teaching dance in there schools at Key Stage 3 or 4.

There is no fee as it is a pilot project but we do ask that all modules are completed.

Please contact me for more information and an outline of the course and what you will cover.

    All places must be reserved

  2. The training above is for teachers in and around the London area. If you live outside this remit please let me know as there are similar CPD sessions happening around England.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
  3. There are now 10 places left on the NSTP course. Please get in touch regarding the above information.

    Thank you
  4. Thank you to all who have inquired about the above. If anyone would like more information please do not hesitate to ask.
