Noisy class who won't listen

Discussion in 'Primary' started by iwantahen, Jan 11, 2011.

  1. I have been teaching for a number of years and have dealt with very challlenging behaviour, but having moved to a new school in September I am faced with a class with a significant number of children who are very noisy and just will not listen. They continailly talk over me and none of th strategies I have tried are working. I thought they were improving at the end of last term, but I'm back to square 1 now. I'm so fed up I really don't want to teach any more.
Please can anyone suggest some ways to get them listening?
