I've not been too worried about work just yet, I have my physics resit on Wednesday and I want to be ready for that. After that I'll be up for getting back on the supply merry go round again. Although I've seen a job going that would be excellent for me and would nicely make use of my skills, deadline is a few days after my exam.

Thanks both! I've not been the best in getting ready for this exam but I've been better than the prep I did for the last one. And yes, so going to get an application in for this bad boy, it's right up my street.

The job I have now I really didn't want to apply for it but my wife insisted I do it.

How is it? Do you like it? Are you glad you applied?

The reason I didn't want to apply for the job was that I had had a very uncomfortable day at the same school some years earlier on interview.

It didn't start off too promisingly the second time round either and to be honest I wasn't that bothered about the job as I was on long term placement at another school anyway.

But ultimately I was offered it and as it was a permanent contract I really couldn't turn it down.

I'm now in my fourth year at the school - it isn't too bad,

Can anyone share if the agencies have started to contact teachers for day to day jobs? Or it's after the schools run a full two weeks worth of timetable until supply kicks off.

I'm not getting calls for day to day yet - Birmingham

I had a call yesterday lunchtime for a last minute afternoon cover.
I then got a call mid morning today for Wednesday to Friday.
I'm in the East Midlands and primary.

The agency I work through has started to get calls through, although I'm far to preoccupied with my exam tomorrow.

I'm pretty certain that from next week onwards things should start to get going.

Most schools have only been back for about a week remember

Yep, It's why I've not been bothered about needing to focus on my exam prep for tomorrow.
