No job & upply work

  1. I don't know what happened to my post above. Anyway I will repost it here.
    Hi everyone.

    After completing my PGCE, I have
    not acquired a job, so I’m planning to do supply teaching.

    I would love to teach at an
    international school abroad at some point and I know you need at least 2 year experience.

    Would doing supply work for 2 years
    count as two years experience providing you got your NQT?
  2. Yes and no really. You need to spend at least a term in one school as a supply for a term of your NQT year to be completed. This will depend on the area you live in as the general supply situation is pretty dire at the moment due to the use of TA/CS. Talk to the agencies you are with and see what they say...
