Advance notice - the official details out soon.
The next TES Seminar on Moving on to Senior Leadership will be held in London on Sunday March 13th.
Two possibilities - 10.00 am or 2.00 pm.
For those moving to Assistant Headship, Deputy Headship or Headship.
In both morning and afternoon, two of the sessions will be led by me, TheoGriff, and the middle one by Duncan Verry, a member of the TES Prime team that specialises in appointments to Leadership Teams.
We shall be looking at the application, including executive summaries, what to expect in a leadership interview, and how to shine at interview.
No, we don't write applications for you. No, we don't tell you what answers you should give. No we don't hand out copies of model applications; mean aren't we? But we do suggest techniques that will allow you to highlight your strengths.
Comments from the last SLT seminar included:
    • Excellent, a really good and worthwhile use of half a Saturday
    • Money and time well spent, thanks
    • Great, thank you
    • Very useful and infomative, good opportunities were allowed to reflect
    • I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, can't wait to put them into practice
    • The practical activities were really useful (and a big wake up call)
    • A really well structured afternoon, lots of good useful guidance, thank you
    • Super, thank you
    • Very useful with some key bits of advice that have rung true
The overall evaluation mark given was 96%
WARNING: The last seminar was over-subscribed, and those on the waiting list will get first go for the next one . . .

Yes, in Old Lunnon Town, I'm afraid!
Sorry about that, but that's where TES has the premises and the personnel . . .

Although the TES has facilities in this "London" place I here there are other places outside of the capital with facilites one can use for worshops. Increasing the cost to individuals might help you cover these costs and would not deter participants as they would save the cost of a rail ticket. Dependant up on the cost of facilities and number of participants, obviously! In fact a school in the north might be willing to host your course reducing costs. Travelling to london would not only cost me around the cost of the course again but also significantly more time.

I know that the TES are considering this - there is a trial session in Manchester this coming weekend for the Winning That Teaching Job seminars.
    Best wishes

Just had another delegate tell us that a Headship has been offered after the last course.
    Great news!
