  1. Hi,
I currently have a BA in Business Studies, but I really want to teach English at secondary level.
Can anyone tell me what level of English qualification I'd need to teach this subject.
I'm already enroled on an OU English degree course, but I'm wondering whether I could stop short at a diploma and begin teacher training then??
    Any advice would be great,
    Many thanks,

    Steve

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

To get any sort of government support (and thus get on most courses), you'll be after an honours degree in the subject you want to teach. If you haven't already, post in the "Thinking about Teaching?" forum - there's a TDA advisor who responds to these types of questions and could give you a more informed answer.
