New to year 3!

  1. Hi all! This is my first ever question on the forums so I hope I've done it in the right place! :)
I am just out of my NQT year and after being in reception for a year my head has moved me up to year 3 (which I am VERY happy about by the way) but now I'm feeling a little scared! Does anyone have any top tips for general classroom management etc? Also any plans which could be emailed to me for ANY subject would be greatly appreciated to give me a starting point (they seem so much bigger and grown up compared to reception hehe). Also, my school are trialing a creative curriculum every second half term this year and i was wondering how other schools go about planning and teaching this to ensure all the basic skills are still covered? One topic has to be a local study so again, any ideas much appreciated! I know i sound like a huge worrier but I just wanna get it right for them :) thank you! Nicola.

  2. Try www.ness.uk.com - that will give you lots of resources and planning stuff for Y3 maths. Good luck!
