New to Complex Special Needs

Discussion in 'Special educational needs' started by madonna2, Jan 26, 2012.

  1. I've worked in Primary Supply for several years and now want to apply for a position in a school which caters for Complex Special Needs. I really want this job but am puzzled as to what I should write in my personal statement as I quite clearly have no experience in this area although I 've worked a great deal with ASD children and various SEN in the mainstream classroom. Help!

My school has employed several teachers in similar circumstances and I was in a similar position before my first post. Write about the experiences you have with SEN pupils in mainstream and the skills/experiences you think you'd take to the job. In my school its more about the person than their experience.
    Good luck.
