New school funding formula 'should give extra cash to primaries'

    Surely almost anyone is going to be pleased to have more funding? The question is, if primaries are going to get more, will the benefit there outweigh the disadvantage of secondaries getting less? In the article, a secondary head argues that there's little reason to fund year 7s better than year 6s, and he's probably right. However, if secondaries get less money, I suspect the most likely impact will be on the range of GCSE courses, not year 7.
