New reading tests and teaching to the test

  1. Hello, I'm writing dissertation about national tests and its impact on teaching and learning. What is your opinion about new national tests and do you think tests create culture to teaching to the tests? Thank you for your opinion.

    We have quite a strange culture built up around them, you'll find. For instance some treat them like public exams (which they're not) and call them "SATs", which they're not (although I think this is mainly as a joke these days).
