Sorry to jump in- has anyone heard of section 8 inspection of Computing/ICT in primary schools?

I've just had a conversation with a former colleague who is worried about this happening has most of the primary teachers in the school he works can't manage the programming and haven't had any CPD. As ICT Subject Leader, he is stressed out by the thought of this.

How did they find time for so many observations with only 1 or 2 inspectors in for one day?

Who did they observe? Anyone and everyone? Mainly core? As directed by SLT?

Steve, I can't go into too much detail for anonymity reasons but he managed two obs in the morning and two in the afternoon so covered all of the key stage. So, as to who, one class each from year 6,5,4 and 3, core and non-core and his choice, undirected by SLT.
He was on duty all of the time and took lunch with the children.

Sorry to respond so late to your query but life's a bit (SATs) busy.
