New Media Studies Content

    Re new A level content: as we saw when these were in the consultation stage, very heavy on named theorists. Will have to wait and see what the exam boards do with 'must require students to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following theories...' I looked up Clay Shirky - seemed pretty accessible and interesting (I watched this hour-long lecture: http://www.slideshare.net/LImarketingsolutions/clay-shirky-presents-the-end-of-the-audience ).

    As per the consultation, there was always going to be the shift away from film to ensure minimal overlap with Film Studies, so no trailers, film openings etc. but plenty of other media products they can get involved in.

    One thing I can't see is the percentage of coursework to exam?
